Lebanese singer Melissa

Lebanese singer Melissa said she prefers working on single song style rather than producing a complete album due to music piracy phenomenon that has been recently common.
In an interview with Arab Today, Melissa said “focusing on one song only is much better that working on more than 10 songs at the same time in terms of quality.”
Most singers and production companies follow this strategy which is much safer particularly from the financial point of view, she added.
The Lebanese star said she considers reviewing some drama series offers from Lebanese and Egyptian production companies but noted that she will be selective.
Melissa released her first album, "Baddi Mennak" after which she was signed with Alam El Phan, an Egyptian record label perhaps known for also being the record label of Samira Said and Haifa Wehbe. Her second album, "Mfakar Halak Min", was released via her current label Rotana Records.
Internationally she might be known for her collaborations with Akon, with whom she collaborated once on the song "Yalli Naseeni", and Dr. Alban, with whom she collaborated twice; in 2008 on the song "Habibi (Somebody Call My Name)" (part of her second album), and in 2010 with the song "Tell Me Wath U Want (Gharamak).”
