The US House of Representatives voted on Thursday to approve a short-term funding bill to keep the federal government running for four more weeks.

Representatives voted 231-188 for the four-week extension, which lasts until January 19, 2018. The Senate must now vote before midnight on Friday to avoid a shutdown of the federal government.
