Al Hussein Technical University (HTU)

Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) in partnership with SPARK Organization is holding a TOT workshop on Entrepreneurship and Lean Start-up at the university’s campus at the King Hussein Business Park. HTU is founded by the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) and is set to open its doors for registration in early October 2017.

The two-day workshop, which started today, will cover the mechanisms and methods of teaching entrepreneurship in universities as well as introduce special training materials designed to sharpen the skills of trainees and provide them with the latest developments in modern teaching methods such as presentation and communication skills.

The training includes a number of trainees from different Jordanian universities such as the German-Jordanian University, the American University in Madaba, in addition to a number of faculty members from HTU.

The workshop, which will be conducted by Dr. Bram Kuijken; Assistant Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Amsterdam.

For her part, Dr. Ibtesam Atiyat, Consultant at Al Hussein Technical University, highlighted that this course aligns with the framework of the HTU’s plan to develop specialized training programs in the field of entrepreneurship and enhances the cooperation between HTU and Jordanian and international universities and institutions.

Earlier this year HTU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SPARK to cooperate and support the entrepreneurship ecosystem at the university in addition to develop its capacity training program.

SPARK is an independent international organization founded in 1994 at the University of Amsterdam, and runs many programs through its offices in more than 21 countries in southeast Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

The organization is focused on developing higher education and advancing the business skills of youth between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
