Japanese tourists will begin coming to Egypt as of February 2014, Egyptian ambassador in Tokyo Hisham el-Zimiti has said.
In a statement, the ambassador said the first group would arrive in February when the EgyptAir flights from/to Japan resume.
The ambassador was speaking after a Japanese travel warning to Egypt was suspended.
On Dec 17, the Egyptian embassy in Tokyo organized a forum on Japanese investments in Egypt and means to increase them.
Representatives of the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council and 50 other companies took part in the forum.
