Fall is the season to have fun with your makeup routine

Texture, not tone
Texture is actually where it's at with fall makeup. Unlike summer, when glossy lids, lips and shimmer are favourites of the season, during fall and winter, metallic and holographic textures and looks make a comeback. A lot of metal -- thickly under the eye, bright and deep on the lids, metal texture lips, the works! Think 90's Back-to-the-future vibe. Huda Beauty's Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette or Stila's Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow fit this statement.
I can see your halo
Another trend that makes a strong comeback is the halo look. Halo eyes typically mean a smoky eye with deep shadows accenting the inner and outer corners of the lid in a rounded fashion, with bright metallic or glitter pops at the centre. Update the classic smoky black eye with a pop of red or gold. Adding a halo of colour over the centre of your lids is an easy way to make your eyes stand out and look sultry-yet-wide-awake. So many new palettes launched have that one odd colour to add to the centre of the eyelids. Try the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette to create your halo eyes.
Eyeliner interrupted
Black liner all the way around the eye can have a minimising effect, but by adding a few centimetres of pale or pearlescent liner on the top and bottom of the lids makes the eyes pop in an unexpected way. This look has that fall-futurism vibe that's been a classic through the cooler months. It helps give a doe-eyed effect while looking frosty instead of warm and summery. Even a lot of electric shades of liner have been spotted with pastel eyes. For example, lilac eye lids with electric pink liners are my personal favorite and I have already turned my lip liners to eyeliners!
All about matte
If you're going to wear one lipstick colour this fall, make it a deep shade that counts - crushed plum, burgundy, berry, maroon, electric purple and wine red are all the rage this season. Most YouTubers and bloggers are spotted with their lips painted in these semi-goth tones. Looking for a 'berry' good fix? Try Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick June Bug or you can pick up Glambry liquid lipstick Eleanor.
Straight and sleek
Forget bouncy blow-dried hair and pretty curls; pin-straight, high-shine hair is the new way to stand out when it comes to your styling regime. We have seen Kim Kardashian West sporting it at all events. The plain, shiny long tresses do everything to make her look like she means business.  And consider also the style's ponytail counterpart - slicked back, close to the head and worn arrow-straight, down the back.
Full-fat lashes, skim isn't in
Full, false lashes on your top lash line invariably make your eyes look larger and more awake. Try the Velour Mink Lashes; they are thick, wispy and they will last you up to 29 uses. Get a drawn-on lower lash look by trying a waterproof, smudge-proof mascara made especially for your bottom eyelashes. An excellent mascara to try is TheBalm SCUBA Water Resistant Black Mascara
