The General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, GAYSW

The General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, GAYSW, and the Supreme National Committee for Drug Prevention have agreed to organise activities aimed at drug prevention during annual sports championships and events held at youth centres, co-ordinate work to benefit from the expertise of authorities in the National Drug Prevention Programme "Siraj," and strengthen overall co-operation.
This was stated while Secretary-General of GAYSW, Ibrahim Abdul Malik, received Chairman of the Supreme National Committee for Drug Prevention, Colonel Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Dabal. Both sides demonstrated means of strengthening joint co-operation within the frame of sports activities and events.
Colonel Dabal demonstrated "Siraj" and its most important achievements in the previous years towards protecting the community from the dangers of drugs. He also spoke about the directives of Lieutenant-General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Council, NANC, in relation to organising activities aimed at establishing a drug-free community.
