A police sergeant, who was fatally shot on Saturday, has been posthumously promoted to the rank of warrant officer, police chief, Maj. Gen. Ahmad Faqih, ordered Monday.

Warrant officer, Jafar Rabab’ah was shot dead and another wounded when a man wanted on criminal charges fired shots at a highway patrol in the city of Maan, some 220km south of Amman.
