Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy expressed his pleasure for receiving honor from Alexandria Film Festival, saying that it is important for any actor to receive honor from his country and from the people he spent his life to entertain them. He described his honor during the festival as the most important event in his life.

He stressed that it is important for the actor to receive honor while he is still alive, saying that he was keen to honor a large number of superstars when he took the responsibility of Cairo Film Festival. He added that there are a large number of superstars who have not received honor despite their great works that enriched the Egyptian cinema.

He added that he was hoping the attendance of a number of superstars, including Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Nour Al Sharif, saying that those two actors presented great works since the beginning of their career as actors. He denied what was published over his intention to apologize for not participating in the festival saying that what was published in this regard are unfounded rumors.

He revealed that he chose a number of his films to be presented during the coming Alexandria Cinema Festival scheduled to be held on October 7. He added that he chose the films upon the different phases of development in cinema.

He added that he chose his film “The Shame”, saying that it is considered one of the most important films in which he participated since the beginning of his career as an actor. He added that he also chose “Enemy Brothers” film, saying that it discussed a number of important and social issues. The third film, he said, is “Take Care of Zozo” saying that this film managed to gain high popularity among a large number of fans in all over the Arab world.

He added that He is extremely preoccupied in the filming of his role in the new TV drama show “The Secret”, saying that he focuses on this work during the current period. He revealed that he received a large number of offers to participate in drama shows during the latest season of Ramadan while he apologized because of the filming of his role in the new show.

He denied what was published over his marriage from an actress, saying that he would announce if he took such a step. He added that what was published over his marriage are rumors aiming to target him. He stressed that he shares any news related to him with his fans.
