Benghazi fighting

More than one thousand Libyan families fled to the town of Qaminis, about 50 km south of Benghazi, due to violence in the eastern city, a local official said.
Farag Hamza, Qaminis' local council spokesman, said it's estimated that 1,000 families have resorted to the town specially after fighting escalates.
The International Committee of the Red Cross said Thursday fighting in Libya’s west and in Benghazi has displaced tens of thousands since the summer and disrupted medical and health services.
“Services at the main hospitals have been severely disrupted by the unsettled security conditions, the departure of foreign workers and the acute shortage of medical supplies,” said Antoine Grand, head of the Red Cross Libya delegation, who is based in Tunis.
