The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR) said on Saturday that more than 11,000 new Syrian refugees have arrivedin Lebanon, bringing the total number of refugees in Lebanon to over one million.The Commissioner said in its report that another 52,725 refugees are still waitingfor registery in order to receive regular aid.The refugees are spreading across different Lebanese cities, with 268,452 in thenorth, while Southern Lebanon hosts 125,084 refugees, noted the report.On the security situation, the report that the the ongoing bombardments witnessedby some boder towns between Syria and Lebanon have forced 250 Syrian families tomove to other safe areas.Many Kuwaiti activists and humanitarian organizations such as the Red Crescent,Zakat House, Social Reform Society, and Al-Rahma International Society, amongothers are continuously providing aid to Syrian refugees in Turkey and Jordan.The second donors conference held in Kuwait mid-January resulted in pledges of
USD 2.4 billion to support Syrians.
