Twenty-five governors new were sworn-in before Egypt\'s President Adly Mansour on Tuesday, while Yasser el-Hadibi, a leading member of the Wafd Party, refused to the position governor of Menoufia.
As a consequence of Hadibi’s decision, the governors of Menoufia and the Red Sea will be sworn in before the Egyptian president at later date.
The Egyptian authorities appointed Jalal Said as Governor of Cairo, Ali abdel-Rahman as Governor of Giza, Tarik el-Mahdy as Governor of Alexandria, Khaled Foda as Governor of South Sinai, Al-Sayed abdel-Fatah Harhor as Governor of North Sinai, Ibrahim Hamad as Governor of Assiut, Mahmoud Khalifa as Governor of the New Valley, Badr Tantawy as Governor of Marsa Matrouh, Amr el-Shodafi as a Governor of Dakahleya, Mohamed abdel-Moneim Naeem as Governor of Gharbeya, and Mohamed Abdelatif Mansour as a Governor of Damietta.
