Five Egyptian ministers have resigned from Prime Minister Hisham Kandil\'s government following anti-government protests across the country, a source from the Egyptian Council of Ministers has confirmed. The ministers who have quit in solidarity with the demonstrators are: Tourism minister Hisham Zazou, Minister of State for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Hatem Begato, Minister of Communications Atef Helmy, Minister of Environment Khaled Fahmy and Minister of Utilities, Portable Water and Sanitary Drainage Abdel Kawi Khalifa. The source claimed that the ministers handed in their resignation in light of nationwide protests against President Mohammed Morsi\'s regime. The ministers are shortly expected to make a statement explaining the reasons behind their resignation.
