Six people were killed and 17 injured during a car bomb attack in Elwa Market in North Baghdad, Iraq on Monday
Speaking to Arab Today a source in Iraq’s interior ministry said that the car bomb specifically targeted the fish market.
The number of casualties is expected to grow.
The source confirmed that ambulances took the casualties to hospital for treatment. A security cordon has been imposed on the area in fear of further attacks.
Baghdad also witnessed on Monday the killing of a member of the Iraqi movement of Sahwa. Unknown armed fighters attacked the man and his cousin. Three people were also injured during a bomb attack targeting security patrols in South Baghdad.
