One soldier and two conscripts were killed in a bomb attack on their armored vehicle in Sheikh Zuweid on Monday, said Military Spokesman Mohamed Samir.
The explosion left three more security personnel injured.
In a statement Monday, the spokesman said that terrorist elements planted an explosive device under an army vehicle in Sheikh Zuweid.
The blast occurred near a checkpoint close to the village of el Kharouba in Sheikh Zuweid.
The injured were rushed to the military hospital to receive treatment, added the spokesman.
He also extended deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and wish speedy recovery for the injured.
