A terrorist was killed and a weapon and ammunition were recovered by a detachment of the People's National Army in Bouira on Sunday, while another terrorist was arrested in Skikda, said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.

"As part of the fight against terrorism, a detachment of the People's National Army of the operational area of Bouira (1st Military Region) killed a terrorist, today 12 July 2015 at 1:50 a.m. in the locality of Ziraoua, commune of Djabahia," said the Ministry's statement.

During the operation, a Kalashnikov sub-machine gun, a quantity of ammunition, detonation tools, a mobile phone another objects, added the statement.

"Another detachment of the operational area of Skikda (5th Military Region) arrested a terrorist and recovered a pump gun, hand-made bomb, edged weapons, a quantity of ammunition, detonation tools and two mobile phones," said the Ministry's statement.
