The Lebanese army has continued targeting the locations of militants in areas around the town of Arsal located east of Lebanon near the Syrian border.

Security resources said that the Lebanese army targeted the militants today with heavy artillery at Wadi Hameed and Moheet Almalahi in Alrahwa.

Ras Baalbek has also witnessed sporadic clashes with medium weapons between the military centers for the Lebanese army and Jabhat Alnasra.

The town of Arsal witnessed clashes last August between the Lebanese army and militants of different nationalities.

During the one-week clashes 14 Lebanese army soldiers were killed, 86 injured and other 22 were reported missing compared to 100 militants killed.
