A child was killed and at least 11 persons were injured when a suicide car hit Zahraa district in Syria's central province of Homs.

The London-based Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) reported that at least three people were seriously wounded.

The explosion came amid ongoing clashes between the Syrian government forces and militants in the eastern countryside of Homs.
