Tensions are running high in Alexandria as a mass protest planned for June 30 by political parties calling for the overthrow of President Mohammed Morsi heads closer. Members from Tamarod Movement and Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt clashed Wednesday evening in Suleiman Basha, as both groups threw accusations at one another. Muslim Brotherhood later released a statement condemning the clashes, claiming that members of Tamarod \"besieged the Islamist group inside Al Tawheed mosque.\" Brotherhood spokesperson in Alexandria, Anas El Kadi stated: \"Tamarod movement members were violent and attacked Muslim Brotherhood, wounding six people.\"   However, Tamarod coordinator in Alexandria, Sherif El Gammal stated that \"two Tamarod members were wounded after being attacked by men believed to be from Muslim Brotherhood.\" Tamarod organisation are in the process of collecting signatures ahead of the mass protest demanding \"early elections.\" Campaign spokesperson Mahmoud Badr said that arrangements were being prepared to \"submit a full petition to the Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) before June 30, formally calling for the withdraw of current President Mohammed Morsi.\"
