Daesh militants have seized more villages in Anbar province, western Iraq, as armed clashes erupted with Iraqi forces near the city of Samarra, sources said.
The Daesh group is now in control of 15 villages in Anbar, Sky News TV quoted Anbar chieftain Naem al-Kaoud as saying.
Meanwhile, dozens of Iraqi army soldiers were killed during fierce clashes with Daesh near Anbar’s Heet city, a security source said.
