Rafah Crossing

The Egyptian authorities reopened Tuesday the Rafah border crossing with the besieged Gaza Strip in both directions to allow the passage of stranded Palestinians.
Thousands of Palestinian passengers headed for the crossing's gates since early-morning hours to travel outside the Strip after their names were enlisted by borders authorities in Gaza.
The authorities said in a statement that humanitarian cases and students are set to travel through the crossing.
Egypt had officially announced that the Rafah crossing will be reopened as of Tuesday until Thursday to alleviate sufferings of Palestinians despite the ongoing security campaigns in Sinai.
