Head of Egyptian Armed Forces Abdul Fatah Khalil al-Sisi said on Wednesday that the army has agreed with political forces to suspend the constitution and delegate the head of the constitutional court to manage the country until an early presidential elections is conducted. Al-Sisi said the military was fulfilling its \"historic responsibility\" to protect the country by ousting Mohammed Morsi. Morsi failed to meet demands to share power with opponents who thronged the streets of Cairo.
