Cairo will be hosting meetings of the Syrian opposition on June 8-9, the spokesman for the Foreign Ministry has said.

Talks will be held under the auspices of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdel Aati said on Saturday.

The meetings will focus on action that should be taken in the coming stage to end the Syrian crisis and stop the bloodshed.

Participants will also review means to achieve aspirations of the Syrian people, while maintaining Syrian unity.
