The Palestinian Hamas movement denied on Monday proposing a five-year truce with Israel.
"Some international parties have suggested truce, yet we did not approve it," said Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri.
He added that such proposal needs to be studied carefully.
Some Israeli websites have claimed that Hamas suggested to European parties a five-year truce with Israel.
