Iraqi troops have advanced in Tikrit city where they controlled two police buildings as they are fighting Daesh militants.
The retaken premises are located in central Tikrit, according to a security source.
Earlier, the forces, backed by Shiite fighters, retook the educational hospital.
They killed 30 militants in the fighting.
