Five gunmen were killed ?in clashes with Iraqi security forces in the city of Tikirit, sources in the police department of Salaheddine governorate said on Saturday. Unknown gunmen in 13 separate vehicles, attempted to storm a police station in the Sherqat district of Tikrit on Saturday morning, but clashes broke out with security forces and five militants were killed whilst the rest escaped.Several areas of Salaheddine governorate witness nearly daily violence by militants despite heightened security ?measures.
