Israeli extremist settlers on Thursday broke into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, yards away from the Al-Magharbah Gate in the occupied Jerusalem, under the protection of Israeli soldiers and special police units .
Palestinian sources said that Israeli forces entered the area in small groups, accompanied by Jewish families with their kids.
The sources added that personnel of the Israeli police remained deployed inside the compound’s yards and facilities, near worshippers, students and amidst a large number of citizens living in Jerusalem’s Old City and adjacent neighborhood as well as worshippers and religious students who had gathered despite all Israeli measurers.
