Ahmad Jarba, head of the opposition Syrian National Coalition, has asked for the possession of all types of arms to enable the moderate opposition troops confront the Syrian regime troops.
Interviewed by the French newspaper "Le Journal du Dimanche", Jarba, who is currently on a visit to France, explained that the Free Syrian Army do not possess all means to fight on the ground, and consequently it should seek to have all types of arms to confront the Syrian air forces' attacks.
He accused the Syrian regime of launching daily attacks against opposition troops using chemical weapons and other internationally prohibited arms.
Jarba is expected to meet with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday at the Elysee Palace.
