Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived Thursday to Baghdad coming from Kuwait to meet senior Iraqi officials. Lavrov will hold talks with Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hoshyar Zebari and others about relationships between the two countries and developments in the region, especially regarding the Syrian crisis, informed sources said. The Prime Minister's media adviser, Ali Musawi, said Tuesday that important international figures would visit Baghdad in the coming few days, atop of whom was Lavrov. Source: MENA
