Global human rights organisation Amnesty International has said it supports the claims of a Canadian man who alleges he has been tortured while behind bars in Mauritania. Alex Neve, head of Amnesty\'s Canadian branch, the organisation was concerned about 24-year-old Aaron Yoon, who has been in a Mauritanian prison since 2011 on terror-related charges. Yoon was sentenced to a year in prison in 2012, after he was was found guilty of working with an armed extremist group. Mauritanian officials have refused to comment on the allegations.
