One Egyptian citizen was killed during clashes that erupted between supporters and opponents of Egypt’s former Islamist president Mohammed Morsi in Alexandria. Twelve others were injured in the violence. Witnesses told Arab Today that Egypt’s military have closed down Tayaran Street to separate supporters and opponents rallying in Rabaa el-Adaweya Square. A number of politicians have warned of potential clashes after the military statement issued on Wednesday to remove Morsi from power.
