Palestinian youths Wednesday threw stones at Israeli soldiers on the contact lines between the Israeli-controlled H2 area and H1, which is under Palestinian control, in response to the army killing of three Palestinians the night before in Yatta, south of Hebron. Witnesses said soldiers fired tear gas at students in the Zahra School for Girls in the old city of Hebron causing many to suffer from suffocation. Soldiers also fired tear gas at the market area outside Shuhada Street and inside a bus carrying passengers in Hebron causing many suffocation cases. Confrontations were also reported in other areas near Hebron, including Dura, southwest of Hebron, and Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
