Aden - Arab Today
Forces loyal to Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi managed on Thursday to gain control of the headquarters of 39th armored brigade from forces of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
This came following fierce clashes between the two sides.
Yemeni locals said that they saw hundreds of pro-Saleh troops fleeing to the northern governorates of the country.
Medical sources said seven Yemenis were killed and 50 others wounded when the 39th armored brigade opened fire at protesters, who gathered outside seeking armament to protect themselves.
