Iraqi prime minister's decision to remove a number of military leaders and send some others to retirement comes is an apparent effort to improve the army's performance, Spokesman for Iraqi Prime Minister’s Office Rafid Jaboori said on Thursday.
In a statement, Jaboori added that competency, courage and integrity are basic factors to combat corruption in the Iraqi military establishment.
