The Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen confirmed on Friday the death of a Saudi soldier in an attack on the southwestern border city of Najran.

In a statement, the coalition's command said Awad Issa was hit in the attack.

The Saudi-led coalition, which includes a number of Arab states, launched a military operation in Yemen to restore President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to office after the Houthi armed group took control of the Capital Sanaa.
