South Sudan Minister of Cabinet Affairs Martin Elia Lomuro

South Sudan Minister of Cabinet Affairs Martin Elia Lomuro said on Tuesday that the security situation in most regions of the country is stable except for a few areas controlled by some rebels who seek to seize power.
Martin made such remarks after his meeting with the Egyptian delegation headed by Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Hossam Moghazi who is currently visiting Juba.
During the meeting, the Egyptian and South Sudan delegations reviewed the developments in cooperation ties and ways of activating the agreements concluded during the recent visit paid by south Sudan president to Egypt.
The South Sudanese minister pointed out that his country is keen on settling disputes with the rebels peacefully, wishing that Egypt could partake in the mediation efforts of the African Union (AU) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
The stability of the security situation in South Sudan is part and parcel of the stability of the security situation in Egypt, according to Martin.
For his part, Moghazi said that the Egyptian delegation, which groups the ministries of irrigation, housing and health, is ready to discuss with the South Sudanese delegation ways of bolstering bilateral ties in a number of fields, including the issues of water and irrigation and health cooperation.
