Daesh militants

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said Sunday a Daesh's so-called Shariah court had ruled at least 19 Christians, mostly over 50-year-old, to be freed, but the reasoning behind the decision was unknown, Fox News reported.
The 19 Christians were among the more than 220 people the militants took captive in northeastern Syria last week, the SOHR added.
The fate of the more than 200 other Christian Assyrians still in Daesh's hands remains unclear. Most of them are believed to have been taken by Daesh fighters to Shaddadeh, which is located 30 miles south of Hassakeh.
