Cairo Criminal Court decided Monday to postpone until June 16 the trial of ousted president Mohamed Morsi and 35 other leading members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood on charges of espionage.
Morsi and the 35 other Brotherhood figures stand accused of collaborating with foreign organizations to commit acts of terrorism in Egypt, revealing defense secrets to a foreign country, funding terrorists and organizing military training "to achieve the purposes of the international organization of the Brotherhood".
The prosecution specifically accuses them of collaborating with the Gaza-based Hamas, the Lebanese Shia group of Hezbollah and other organizations "inside and outside" of Egypt to smuggle arms, organize military training for group members in the Gaza Strip and fund a scheme to stir chaos and threaten national security in Egypt.
