Turkish President Abdullah Gül sanctioned a decree to transfer eight governors and send six others to other posts at the Interior Ministry.
The decree was published in the Official Gazette Sunday morning.
The wave of alteration among governors along with police and security directors rocked Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an's government after the corruption and bribes scandal was disclosed on Dec. 17, 2013.
This move aimed at liquidating Fethullah Gülen's supporters from the civil service, daily Hürriyet reported.
