A military plane on Monday shelled the surroundings of Mitiga Airport in Tripoli.
In statements to MENA, Essam Na'as, a spokesman for the Libya security forces in Tripoli, said the shelling did not claim any material damage or human losses.
Air flights are still operational at the airport.
The shelling on Mitiga surroundings is the fifth of its kind within a week.
