A Yemeni court on Saturday ordered a new probe into the alleged involvement of former president Ali Abdullah Saleh and 10 of his regime figures in the killing of more than 50 protesters during the 2011 uprising against his rule.
Yemen\'s official news agency SANA reported that six suspects were released in the same case, in which the ex-president\'s loyalists and troops are accused of opening fire on an anti-regime rally in the capital.
Those to be investigated for the March 18 incident include Saleh’s nephews Yehya and Tariq, the former was a deputy commander of the central security services and the latter was commander of Saleh’s personal guard.
Former interior minister General Muther al-Masri is also set to go on trial.
