Beirut - KUNA
Armed clashes broke out in the northern city of Tripoli early on Saturday wounding 12 people, security sources said. The fighting that erupted at dawn raged between the district of Jabal Mohsen, controlled by a local militia of the Alawite sect, and neighborhoods under dominance of Sunni militias. Lebanese Army staged patrols near the hot spots and occasionally fired at sources of sniper fire. The troops blocked some roads that were targeted with snipers. The local militias often engage in such fighting.
