Two International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) soldiers were killed following an insurgent attack in western Afghanistan, the alliance said on Monday. The deaths were announced in a brief statement from the NATO-led force that neither revealed the nationalities of the fallen troops nor the exact location of the incident, Afghan Pajhowk News Agency (PAN) reported today. Mostly American and Italian soldiers are fighting against the Taliban in the western part of the country. Since the beginning of 2012, 266 foreign soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. Last year, 566 NATO-led soldiers lost their lives in the country.
