A local Afghan police commander killed 11 civilians in Uruzgan province. According to Afghan news agency (Pajhwok) reporting from a source, Commander Shujaee Hazara forced the people from their houses and shot them dead in the Matakzai area of the district. The official had a history of harassing civilians. Hazara had been previously detained three times for committing similar crimes in the past, but was released later. Earlier, a bomb, planted on the side of the road in the same province, killed six people.
