Arab League Secretary General Nabil al-Arabi left Cairo today for a week-long visit to New York during which he will held talks on the latest developments on Syria crisis. The Arab League chief is due to meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Ambassadors of the member states of the Security Council, President of the current session of the Security Council and President of the UN General Assembly. During the meetings, Al-Arabi will review the outcome of the Arab Ministerial Committee on the Situation in Syria meetings, held in Doha last Saturday, especially with regard to the call on the Security Council to act to stop the killings and violence in Syria.
