Preparations have been finalised for the anticipated arrival of Austrian president Heinz Fischer, who is expected to reach Beirut next Thursday in what will be the first visit for an Austrian president to Lebanon. The trip is expected to last for two days, during which the Austrian leader plans to meet with Lebanon\'s president Michel Suleiman, head of the parliament Nabih Berry, and the leaders of the main political parties in Lebanon. Fischer is also expected to visit his own country\'s forces, which participate in the UNIFIL peacekeeping troops in South Lebanon.
