UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon plans to visit South Korea this month to attend an international conference on the rights and responsibilities of nations in their use of the world’s oceans, a Seoul official said Wednesday. According to South Korea’s (Yonhap) news agency, Ban will give a keynote speech at the global conference on August 12 to mark the 30th anniversary of the opening for signature of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
