Two Brazilian Air Force helicopters have arrived in Colombia for the planned release of the last ten soldiers and police officers who were captured by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), the country’s main rebel group. The group is to provide coordinates on Monday morning, said former Colombian senator Piedad Cordoba, who is brokering the deal. The talks on the possible release were initiated by the rebels themselves. It has not yet been revealed if all ten people will be freed at once. Some of the captives have been held for fourteen years.
