Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati held a meeting in Tripoli last night during which the participants agreed that the national army and security forces will take \"decisive\" measures to end the clashes in the northern city, the National News Agency (NNA) reported. The meeting, which was attended by Tripoli ministers and MPs as well as security figures, came after clashes between two rival neighborhoods erupted on Friday night and left at least 10 dead and more than 40 injured. Following discussions, the participants agreed to \"lift the political cover of all those tampering with security and stability and prevent armed presence in the city.\" They also \"requested security forces to strike with an iron fist and deal firmly with anyone tampering with the city s security,\" the report added.
