Two security guards have been sentenced to three years in prison for raping a waitress after one of them posed as an agent looking for a fashion model to lure her into an apartment. The Dubai Court of First Instance convicted the Pakistani defendants, 35-year-old M.F. and 29-year-old M.T., of raping a 30-year-old Filipina waitress, T.A., after threatening her with a pair of scissors. The victim claimed to prosecutors that one of the Pakistani men stopped her in Al Mutaina Street and claimed that he was looking for a model to work for him. Presiding Judge Hamad Abdul Latif Abdul Jawad said the Pakistanis will be deported after serving their jail terms. \"I had sex with her, but without force. It was totally consensual sex. I am not guilty,\" M.F. claimed in court. M.T. contended that he had consensual sex with the claimant and that he did not rape her. According to the arraignment sheet, prosecutors said the two forced T.A. to remove her clothes and repeatedly raped her. The waitress testified that M.F. showed her a catalogue of fashion models when he first stopped her and asked her to model for him. \"M.F. claimed to me that he ran his modeling and advertising agency. He said he was looking for a Filipina model and wanted to take me to a photo-shoot to have my photos published in magazines. When I refused, he showed me a number of contracts which he signed with Filipinas. I agreed to walk with him to his office to sign a contract. At first, I was hesitant and asked him to give me the contract to return it signed the second day,\" she said. \"When he persisted, I went with him to a place he claimed to be his office. It was a residential flat. He locked the door. He threatened me with a scissor before he raped me. Later M.T. jumped out of the washroom and raped me also. I got raped repeatedly more than once. When I promised not to report them to the police, they let me go,\" T.A. told prosecutors. T.A.\'s coworker said the victim was afraid to report the incident to the police. Her boss reported the matter to the police. An Emirati policeman claimed that they arrested M.T. in the flat. M.F. was detained later. The primary judgment remains subject to appeal within 15 days.
