Egypt met all Russian requests as regards securing Egyptian airports and is waiting for a positive decision by Moscow to lift the ban on flights between the two countries.

What is important is that Russia lifts the ban on Cairo-Moscow flights as it will be the first step before resuming flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Mohamed Abdel Maksoud, House of Representatives' Tourism and Aviation Committee Undersecretary told Sputnik news agency.

Still, the official said he cannot give exact dates because many Russian committees have come to Egypt and returned with no progress in this domain being realized.
